Over the past six months, Servitech International has started to further enhance our service capabilities to our customers through the use of TidoN Service – IEA’s latest web-based mobile solution for real-time visibility and management of field assets and the activities that surround them.
Today, having a well organised and efficient mobile workforce is a major differentiator in the provision of services. One of the biggest challenges Servitech faces is to provide quality timely services to customers and providing all the necessary information to the point of delivery. This involves a team approach provided by a number of people from different departments within the business. Keeping a close eye on what is going on in the field can be challenging, costly and yet is critical to the continued success of the business.
TidoN Service empowers both managers and mobile workforces by giving them access to all timely and relevant information they need. All the information required to manage a service, repair, installation or maintenance call, including work orders, time sheets and job status, is at their fingertips.
With the use of TidoN, Servitech is now able to increase revenue whilst decreasing operational costs - improving profitability. This is because TidoN allows the management the activity of operatives to ensure that tasks are completed when due, according to correct procedure and recorded within a secure audit trail.
The product is web-based, hosted on a Microsoft server with the ability to link to a local or existing database system. Staff can access and configure the tasks, reports etc using any standard Internet browser with field staff able to use many different types of handheld device to run the application in the field. This level of standardisation will mean that in the future our customers will be able to progress their own on site work from the comfort of their desks.
Following initial implementation, the second stage of this powerful tool is now being prepared for roll-out. Servitech’s recently UVDB-Verified, quality and environmental systems are about to be incorporated into our Tidon model allowing real-time compliance with all of the companies policies and procedures for Risk assessments, method statements and environmental impact assessments.
